African Anthropology in One Lesson

How did the Hehe tribe of Tanzania get its name?
Which two countries can you see from the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro?
How to get in the UN in one easy step?

The answers to these and other questions here.

Or if you don't have 2.5 minutes, look under the fold.

The clip is from a British comedy/trivia show where fun answers score points rather than right ones. This is what the panel came up with followed by more-correct answers.

1a) The hayhay tribe was a boy's band known for their strange cries...
1b) Actually, the heehee tribe was known for the fierce war cry. They were the most successful at resisting German colonization.

2a) "Spain and India"
2b) Tanzania and Kenya

3) "Anything with 'Democratic' in the name tends not to be ... at all. ... But if you were to call it The Fascist Junta of _____ ... I'd let them in the UN."
