Gallup reports
The number of Afghans saying corruption levels were higher than they were five years ago continued to decline, dropping below 50% for the first time.
That number dropped 18 percentage points in less than a year, divided pretty evenly between folks who refuse to say (up to 8 from 2), folks who think it's about the same (up to 29 from 23) and folks who think it's lower (up to 19 from 14). A constant 81% say corruption is rampant in government and 73% say it's rampant in business.
