A Basement Poll

For all the stereotypes about bloggers working in their parents' basement ... just how many basements are there? In my home town there are none because it's too close to the ocean, so there can't be any bloggers in Santa Barbara or most of coastal CA. Most of Fla is probably out too. Apartment dwellers are out, so that gets rid of nearly every major city blogger....

So how many basements are there? I only ask so journalists know that there will eventually be a cap to the level of domestic competition they face.
